Sole Food is a project based in Southwest Missouri of Friends Against Hunger in affiliation with Shoeman Water Projects to turn used shoes into food for the hungry. Used shoes are collected on behalf of the Shoeman to raise support for Friends Against Hunger to feed the hungry locally and worldwide.

How does this work? You donate your used shoes to Sole Food. The Shoeman sells the donated shoes to distributors in needy countries. In partnership with Sole Food this has a three fold benefit. A portion of the proceeds from the shoes Sole Food collects goes to Friends Against Hunger. The remainder of the proceeds go to purchase well drilling rigs, water filtration systems, and other supplies to bring clean, fresh water to those who thirst. Further, the shoes are sent to countries such as Tanzania and Haiti to provide affordable footwear to those in need.
